Each $20 Saint-Gaudens gold coin from the Wells Fargo Nevada Gold collection has been individually inspected and graded by either Numismatic Guaranty Corporation (NGC) or Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS), the industry's two premier grading services. The coins are sonically sealed in a hard, tamperproof plastic container with a unique certification seal that guarantees their authenticity.
Having sat untouched for decades, the uncirculated Saint-Gaudens gold pieces from the Wells Fargo Nevada Gold collection have been assigned grades ranging from Mint State (MS) 64 through MS-69. Incidentally, MS-70 is the highest grade a coin can achieve, but very few coins ever achieve this perfect status. In fact, neither PCGS nor NGC has ever given a $20 Saint-Gaudens coins this grade.
